If the price includes labor, some high and low beam bulbs are bumper off installations. It’s hard to understand the prices, and I am in Canada where auto repair prices are much higher

@Dexter
Even my 05 is bumper-off for headlights. Really frustrating

I have no clue why some places charge that much…taking a bumper off doesn’t take 3 hours

Their labor rate affects all that. Some guides say bumper removal is at least .5 to 1 hour. If a fluid leak diagnosis is $220 then that’s around the 1-hour mark which even for a Honda dealership seems high

Yeah! I once took mine off by mistake

That water pump cost almost as much as one for a DD13 in a Freightliner Cascadia. What are they thinking

180 for coolant? What are they on

Note: I went in for P0171 System too lean. I bought a new air intake valve but thought I’d see what they say. Time for some YouTube research

Start with YouTube, a local place second, dealership last

The car’s been out of warranty for at least four years. Avoid the dealership. They charge almost 200 dollars an hour for labor. It’s a Civic, relatively easy to repair and parts are easy to find. Any good garage can help

The air intake boot is related to your code. If it’s split post MAF, it’s almost certainly the problem. Really confused by 2k for cooling hoses and thermostat

What the heck… Run

Shouldn’t the leak diagnosis be the first thing on the list

I just took my 2014 Civic to get diagnosed. It was ridiculous. For the water pump, they wanted over 1k. I went in to confirm what I thought was wrong. They tried to charge like 300 to replace a speed sensor. I bought one today and put it in myself in 15 minutes with the jack that came with the car. The total was $51 for the part

The coolant made me laugh

This is why I fix my own cars

Word, forget dealerships. Independent shops are mostly fine until you find a bad one

After they wanted $34k for a '22 Civic Sport Hatch, I never went back. I ended up going to Hansel Honda in Petaluma. $29k out the door
