^ that. You need to remove load from the shock towers. Jack up the front, install it, and when it’s back on the ground, the strut tower brace will absorb some of that flex.
I mean, if you tried it on another car and followed the instructions, I’d say it’s a manufacturing error.

Yeah, it could be. Let’s see what DC Sports says.
Too much torque coming off the lone, obviously OP

I guess the no-tech 50whp would do that haha

WAY too much power for the streets, man!
Probably a manufacturing error if it’s not lining up on two separate chassis.
You might be able to give it a good whack to straighten it out.

That was my guess too. I emailed DC Sports to see if they’ll help.
I wish a good whack could fix it haha
@Chandler
Have you tried jacking the car up for install as others suggested?
The right way to install any strut bar is to take the load off the unibody so it has more wiggle room.
Tighten everything up before it’s back on the ground, they’re made to be a little snug!
You’re probably too low, and the angle of the bolts changes. Just jack up the wheels off the ground and lower the bolts down some, it should help you get it in.

No, I tried jacking it from every point and angle. The problem is the shock towers are too close together, or the bar is too long.
@Chandler
I looked at the part number, and yours is for the 92-00, but on their website it says it doesn’t fit the 96-00 with a D16Y7 for some reason? I had this issue on my 92 Si with these bars, and I thought it was because it was for the Integra/2000 Civic Si, but it ended up needing a lift.
It does seem like a bigger gap you’re trying to overcome.
@Benn
Yeah, it says it’ll fit the body style and came with hardware to relocate some stuff with the wiring and cruise. The only reason it won’t fit a Y7 is because of the intake, but I have a fix for that, so it’s not a problem.
It really is odd. I’ve had other DC parts before and never had a fitment problem with them until now.
That is the incorrect bar, I would imagine, then.

That’s what I thought too, but the part numbers stamped and referenced online are correct.

Then it’s possible it was made wrong, that’s all I can imagine. Or both cars you tried it on were tweaked, but that’s not a little tweak, that’s twisted front-end levels of misalignment.
You have the wrong bar. Looks like it’s meant for an Integra.

That’s what I thought too initially. But the part number stamped on it and what it says online is correct.
