Is the chassis bent or could it be a manufacturing error?

Had the same thing happen to me a few years back. I own an EK Civic, ordered one of these but Skunk2, didn’t fit, was too wide by an inch or so. They are different.

Had the same issue with this bar, tried it on three chassis. Ended up cutting and rewelding it shorter to fit.

It’s welded now. A proper weld should be stronger than the base material it’s joining.

Sad, I thought the QC would be better for this brand.

On second thought, maybe I won’t get a strut bar… I don’t want to know… 98 Civic with evidence of major front and rear-end collisions and a rebuilt/salvage title :pensive:

Yeah, I have a hard time believing the front of your car could be that lopsided with everything still lining up… like, the fender might be fine, but your rad support and hood would have to be crushed in from the side for the chassis to be that far off…

Not the car, it’s the strut bar that’s out of spec or not for that car at all.
