I just found out that the rear wipers turn on when the car is put into reverse, but only if the front wipers are already on. I didn’t notice this until now… pretty cool, right?

My husband was totally surprised when he drove my 2nd Gen. He owns a 1st Gen and wasn’t expecting it at all.

Fair point. I do rely on the backup camera more than turning my head since it helps me spot blind spots. That’s not why I missed it earlier though. When it rains, I just turn on both wipers, so I never paid attention. But I can hear the rear wiper working when it’s on.

I probably should use the rear camera more, but I tend to turn and look out the back. I use the camera mostly for parking and quick checks for things too low for me to see.

It works. I thought I had some electrical problem at first. Glad to know it’s just a feature, not an issue.
Thanks for sharing! I’ve had my Fit for seven years and always thought it was a wiring glitch. It was in rough shape when I bought it, so I wasn’t surprised by any oddities.

I had my mechanic route mine under the ceiling fabric and straight to my battery. I paid him for it, but there are lots of guides online if you want to try it yourself. I have the Viofo Plus Duo in my Prius C.
No way! I’ve had Fit’s since 2016 and didn’t know this until now.
It rained in my city today, and I appreciated my rear wiper for helping me out.
