You’re quicker than me! Took me 13 years to notice.
Haha, I just figured it out a couple weeks ago. I was like, ‘My rear wiper isn’t on! Why is it doing that?’ Then it hit me. Doh!
It happens with the CR-Z too.
I think it also took me about 8 years… At first, I always thought it was too fast to leave on.
It’s a bit annoying if you forget to turn it off, and the next day it’s dry, and you’re in a rush, backing up with the wiper scraping grit.
One more thing: when the wipers are on intermittent and you stop, the wiper will wipe when you take your foot off the brake, no matter where you are in the sequence.
I figured this out a while ago. It’s these little features that show how thoughtful the design is. Unlike some of the bigger modern cars where you can’t even set your own wallpaper!
First thing I noticed when we got our 2018. Very neat.
If you notice after it rains, your side and passenger windows get wet. Just roll down the window and roll it back up. The section near the side mirror clears up a little. It doesn’t clear much, but it works better than some other cars where it does nothing.
My 2013 does that. I don’t like it. I wait to turn the wipers on until after I’m done going in reverse.
Took me 10 years to notice. One rainy day, I started backing into my driveway, and it was pretty cool when the rear wiper came on without me turning it on. I think all cars should do this. I never knew I needed it until I found out.
