I need to mount my front license plate on the side of my car, and I don’t want to drill holes. I’ve heard some mounts let you screw from the bottom to avoid holes—sounds perfect. Is there a brand or design that works best for this? Looking forward to your suggestions .
No front plate gang forever

Aw man, damn ticket fairies! I’m in South LA, and the cops here haven’t busted me yet. (Knock on wood!)
If you’re in the US, depending on the state, you might not even need a front plate. Are you just trying to avoid holes?

I need one in NY. I’m trying to avoid holes while securing it, especially on the side.
@Zeph
I’m not sure if we’ll find anything for the new facelift on the Si without cutting or drilling. I have an ‘23 Si, and it seems like the market’s lacking mods for it. Maybe I’m not looking hard enough, but you’d think there’d be more options for such a common car. We might just have to wait a bit longer. Maybe I’ll design something.
@Zeph
I live in NY too, and I’ve never been pulled over for no front plate. I never put one on, and I’ve never had an issue. If you don’t want to drill holes, don’t put it on.

Do you just keep the plate in the front window? I just don’t want to risk hitting my passenger or myself.
@Zeph
No, I used to keep it there, but I got pulled over for that. After that, I haven’t had it on my car, and I’ve never had any problems. Even when I’ve been pulled over, the cops don’t mention the missing front plate. I keep it in my car, just in case. I think it’s easier to get away with it if there are no holes.
I don’t know the exact brand, but my Civic has a bracket that clips or screws into the lower grille without needing holes. I offset it so the intercooler still gets airflow.
It’s more trouble than it’s worth. There’s no opening or side grill, so are you going to drill the bumper? The mounting holes on the new bumper are pretty subtle as it is.
I used neodymium magnets on my front bumper because I didn’t want to drill holes. Works great, stays on even at highway speeds. Just make sure to take it off before going through a touchless wash or it might get blown off by the pressure washer. You’ll have to remove the front bumper, but if you have basic tools and some mechanical know-how, it’s easy.
I got a STO N SHO mount bracket. It screws under the front bumper wherever you want it, sticks out far enough, and keeps the plate no lower than the bumper, so no scraping. It also has a quick-release if you need to take it off for a car wash.
Wait, did they get rid of the fog lights on the refresh for the Si?

Yup

Well that’s dumb
Agreed, I prefer the front fascia on the 22-24, but the tails on the 25 are pretty nice. Win some, lose some.
@Griffin
I suppose so. I had only seen the refresh for other trims, so I didn’t realise none of them have fog lights now. Oh well, at least the Americans finally got some of the heated seats features.
