Curious about this wing design. It caught my attention and I was wondering what kind it is.

The car itself isn’t fast enough to need additional downforce in the rear. A Type R doesn’t even need a wing. It’s just peacock stuff. You also have to drill holes in the trunk to mount it, which can cause leaks, rust, etc. Overall, it’s generally a bad idea.
@Rin
A car doesn’t have to be fast to use a wing. If it’s designed and set up right for the car, it can be useful at certain speeds. Almost any car can hit that speed. A wing helps with cornering at higher speeds. It isn’t just about how fast a car is in a straight line. The wing on the Type R is actually functional.
@Vance
I didn’t say it’s not functional, just that it’s not needed. This guy totally has that spoiler
Just your average autozone warrior putting the Type R wing on their 1.5t CVT Sport hatchback.

Go to Wingstop, you can get ones…
Look, I know it looks cool, but resist the urge. Get a nice duckbill spoiler and call it a day.
Type-R FK8 wing, but please don’t put it on a Sport or FC.

Why not?

If you like it, put it on. But don’t ask people who aren’t going to like it, because you’ll just get ridiculed. Your taste is yours, and no one can say you’re wrong, but they can say they don’t like it. So if you don’t care about others’ opinions, put it on, but if you do, then maybe reconsider.

That’s not an FK8 wing, though, right? It looks like some weird, mutated version of one?
One too big.
