It could be for Bluetooth or infotainment mics, but some cars also use it for the alarm system. In my Audi TT, those little grills hide sound sensors for the alarm.
It’s the mic. If you have the EX-L with nav, it has Bluetooth and steering wheel buttons for calls.

Nah, the auto AC vents are on the dash, to the right of the steering wheel. My 2008 TL has Bluetooth for hands-free calls and these same holes for the mic. I also saw the same thing in a CR-Z I test drove. I was thinking of putting a mic there for my aftermarket head unit in my ‘07 Civic, but running the wires seemed like too much trouble.
