Hey Peeps,
, I recently purchased a used car and it requires a radio Navicode to unlock the radio system. Can someone explain what a radio Navicode is and how to obtain it? What steps do I need to take to retrieve or reset the Navicode for my car’s radio? Any advice or tips on dealing with radio Navicodes would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help…

If your radio is from 2001 or later, you can retrieve the serial number from the display.
- Turn the ignition key to the ACC position with the radio off.
- Press and hold buttons 1 and 6 simultaneously.
- While holding buttons 1 and 6, turn on the radio.
- The serial number should now appear on the radio screen.
Next, visit this website.
How to Retrieve the Code:
- Enter your car’s VIN or use: 5FNYF4H60AB033651.
- Input your ZIP code or use: 33101.
- Provide an email address (it can be a fake one).
- Enter your radio’s serial number.
- Click “SUBMIT” to get the code.
Note: If the code doesn’t appear, try using a different browser. Safari and ad blockers might cause issues, but Chrome should work fine.
The radio Navicode is just a security thing—keeps your radio from being swiped. Usually, it’s a 4- or 5-digit code. If you don’t have it, check your car manual or look in the glovebox (sometimes it’s on a card there). If no luck, call the dealership with your VIN, and they can help.
