What do you think my car is worth? Need advice on pricing…

Quick repost with a little correction on the text.

'96 Integra LS
• Cypress green pearl
• 129k miles
• Taupe interior
• 98% rust-free, garage kept its whole life
• 5-speed manual
• 100% unmodified
• Serviced by the book
• Only issue is oil burn (0.5 quart every 5k miles)

Thinking about listing it for $5k, but that feels a bit high.

I can almost guarantee you’ll have people fighting over it for $5k. People are asking for more than that for beat-up cars. Honestly, I’d post it on this forum, you’ll be surprised.

Haha, definitely doing that. I was just thinking about listing it for what I bought it for and moving on.

@Vesper
I’ve sold a lot of low-mileage Hondas and Acuras. You’ll always get those people saying ‘KBB says it’s worth xxx.’ My response is always, ‘Go find another one in this condition with this mileage and maintenance.’ Then I block them.

@Indigo
You know, as crazy as it sounds, I mainly buy and sell European cars because I know them well and they’re pretty profitable. But after seeing how much I could make off this Integra, I’m definitely thinking differently now.

@Vesper
If I had the extra cash right now, I’d be very interested in it. Same goes for the European cars… All the older ones are beat-up, and people want them in mint condition. A 90s-2000s Honda in this condition is rare.

@Indigo
Exactly, it goes for any of the 90s-2000s tuner cars. I asked GPT, and it said similar cars on Bring A Trailer and this forum have sold for $7k-$12k recently. That’s crazy to me.

Good luck! Let me know what it sells for when it’s done.

@Indigo
Thanks! I’ll definitely make a follow-up post.

You’ll probably get the asking price just because it has no rust and GSR blades. Honestly, start higher. You can always come down but you can’t go up once you set the price.

True, GPT said similar cars on this forum and Bring A Trailer sold for $7k-$12k. I think I’ll start at $7k and see what happens. Might just post it for $1234 and see what offers I get, that could give me a good idea of the value.

@Vesper
Don’t use the $1234 thing. It makes it seem like you’re not serious about selling. List your price and entertain reasonable offers, but don’t bother with low-ballers.

Got it, I didn’t really think about it that way, but I see your point. Those posts are usually from people asking too much for their junk or from people who aren’t serious about selling.

Anywhere between $8k-$10k, more if you’re patient.

No kidding.

I’d start it at $8500 myself. No kidding.

No accidents? Clean title?

Clean title, no accidents.

By the way, I’m the second owner. I bought it from an older woman in Missouri in 2022.

Where are you? I’d buy it for $6k.
