The paint on my Civic is in bad shape. What are my options?
Might be time for a full repaint.
Clear coat is done for. Best bet is to strip it down and repaint.
Spray paint cans, maybe $10-$15. Do the whole car so it all looks bad evenly.
Check a junkyard for a replacement hood. Faster, looks better, might not cost much more than painting.

A used hood with decent paint is probably cheaper than getting yours painted.
Only real fix is stripping and repainting. Anything else is a temporary patch.
This makes me want to get a ceramic coating ASAP.
Just leave it… 8th gen owners call this the factory finish

Man, this hurts to see.

9th gen here … mine is starting to do this too. Honestly looks better dirty than clean now.
Just swap the hood and call it a day.
Honda had a recall for paint issues on some models. Might be worth checking if yours was included, though they probably won’t cover it anymore.
Only option is repainting. There’s no magic fix for this.
Is this a 10th gen? Must’ve spent a lot of time in Arizona or Mexico.

My 2012 Civic did this after four winters.
Just get it repainted.
Drive it like this… no one’s gonna steal it.

You say that… but I wouldn’t bet on it.
Probably easier to replace the hood and paint the new one. Less sanding that way.
