Finally let go of my Si… bought it new, did a K24 bottom end with a K20 head, fully built the motor, and added a Sk2 full suspension. It was a beast. But one night after work, it wouldn’t start. I push-started it to get home and parked it. Life got busy, and it sat there for nearly 10 years. Decided it was time to let it go…really needed the money. Hope someone brings it back to life.
It’s probably gonna end up in the junkyard, but maybe someone will take the swap and fix it up. Not saying the tow company won’t try to flip it, but who knows. Ah, life happens.

Yeah, no idea what’ll happen. It’s been sitting too long, and I’m not doing anything with it. I just picked up an ‘02 S2000 to work on, and I really need the money right now.
@Dwayne
I get it, bro. Just sucks you never got to rebuild it or anything, you know?

Tell me about it. I loved it until the motor issues started, then the shop I used closed down. It’s been sitting since 2015, looking worse with the clear coat peeling off. Just became an eyesore.
@Dwayne
Dang, I would’ve bought it.

Too late now. Needed cash ASAP… still jobless, and my new gig doesn’t start until the 4th. Needed the cash fast.

I get it. Good luck, man.
@Archer
Thanks. This sale definitely took some stress off.
Man, I would’ve bought it. I’ve got a nice K20 just sitting here from my old 4-door Integra, which got stolen. This would’ve been perfect. Really sad to see it go.

Yeah, if I had more time, I probably could’ve found a buyer. But being out of work and needing money after a small fire and paying way too much for an electrician, I had to take what I could get.
How much did you get for it?

Got a little over $900. It wouldn’t start, and I’m pretty sure there were motor issues too. That car burned oil like crazy. Maybe I could’ve gotten more selling it privately, but I needed cash quick, and this keeps me afloat till my job starts.
@Dwayne
$900? Not bad at all for a non-starter!

Yeah, I wasn’t expecting that much. Took the offer real fast.

If I’d known, I’d have given you $1,500 for it. Been wanting an early 2010s Si so bad!
@Morgan
I feel you. I spent so much money at the shop, but they built a terrible motor. Everything was upgraded… cams, pistons, valves. It only ran well for a few months after I got it back.

Did it really need all those upgrades, or were they just for performance?
@Morgan
Nah, it had everything upgraded. Fully built K24/K20, upgraded all the way from the block to the cams. Even the trans couldn’t keep up… broke it three times! Wanted to upgrade it too, but all the parts were backordered.
@Morgan
Then right after, the shop closed down… typical.
