Wow that’s crazy. But this wasn’t my fault and I didn’t even know it happened. My car basically had no imperfections before this.
@Reese

I think 6th day I drove too close to the curb and scratched up my rims
You’re looking at around $800 CAD+ to get the dent fixed and repainted. I damaged a bumper before, they sand the whole bumper, fix dent, then repaint

I’m in the US and so far it seems like it will cost even more than that but going to get some more quotes before I decide
@Reese
Dealer quotes a ton. My original bill was around $1800 CAD, but I found another place for $760. Hondas are a bit more expensive tho
Be honest man the chances of you paying to get this fixed are really low. If you do pay to get it fixed and this is your daily driver it will happen again.

I’m a girl haha but yeah if it’s going to cost that much to repair then I’m not sure if I will repair it or not. It just sucks because I had it for less than 2 weeks and it’s perfect otherwise.
@Reese
Get your insurance involved I know it’s a brand new car and I know you have to have insurance let them fix it and take care of it You’re going to need a complete new bumper that other gentleman saying putty and body work nah that doesn’t work on plastic like what you got Get a professionally and get it done right You got a beautiful brand new car treat it like a brand new car
@Reese
My bad miss, I know how that must feel especially with a brand new car but eventually you’ll forget it’s even there. I couldn’t even see what was wrong until I scrolled to the second pic. If I were you I would park as far away as you can from other cars. Idiots on the road are the reason we can’t keep our nice things looking nice🙂
These new Civics/Accords are just Ding, Scratch, and dent magnets
Honestly don’t even bother fixing it, it’s not worth it. You’re gonna get more scratches, dings, dents, etc
This was my first new car and a couple months in, my friend backed into my passenger door (it’s not that bad) and it was just downhill from there lol. I have chips in the front of my car, scratches on my side mirror, a dent from the dealership on my rear pillar. You just get used to it, it’s my baby but also just a car. Let it go lmaoo
go on amazon and get the paint pen. i just ordered mine bc someone opened up their car door on my door and there’s a big line of paint missing

Does it match the paint pretty perfectly? It doesn’t need to be having a topcoat or anything? And also the scratch is part of a slight dent too.
@Reese
Paint pens work well. It’s not flawless but it’ll get close. After a while you won’t notice it unless you’re already thinking about It. The dent makes it a little more complicated. But that one doesn’t look too crazy. You can find YouTube videos with tricks to get out the minor ones yourself.
@Reese
You can get a color matching pen from the dealer for 15$ and use it overtime

This is what my sister did. I didn’t notice until she gave her car to me and I drove it for 4 months daily so I’d say it’s a pretty good solution
No one can give accurate estimates due to location pricing variation and different shop rates. Did you get the guy’s insurance info or was it a hit and run? If you have the person’s info, you shouldn’t be paying a dime and it should be on their insurance. If it was a hit and run, you’ll be responsible for payment.
You can bring it around local collision repair shops and get some estimates (any shop worth their while should give free estimates) and see if it’d be wiser for you to use comprehensive + your copay and probably have your rates go up, or just pay straight out of pocket (the latter is probably cheaper).
This would definitely be a repair job at my shop (i.e. they would fix the bumper cover instead of replacing it). They’ll probably charge you to r+i the bumper, overhaul, then labor and paint hours. They’ll also probably want to replace the fog lamp bezel based on how the inner corner is bent in. They’ll probably want to do a pre-repair and post-repair diagnostic scan because of the park sensors as well. Best of luck dude.
