Those rims look nice, but those tires need to be replaced ASAP. I’d say $1400 is more reasonable.

Those rims are too big. They’ll slow the car down a lot due to their weight.

220k miles, according to the post. I also have a short commute (less than 13 minutes).
You should buy it, but definitely swap those wheels to save the transmission.

Is it all highway miles?

Sorry, I might be missing something. Could you give me an actual number? 100k? 200k?
Hell yeah, go for it.
I’d say $1500 to $1750. The car could use a better interior, nicer wheels (maybe E30 bottle caps?), and a paint-matched hood.

Where I live, you’re lucky to find anything that runs for under $2500.

Haggle $500 and someone else will snatch it up. A CRX in this condition could easily sell for 5k. Cosmetics are easy to fix.
Been bought, did that.
I’d look into why they’re selling the car so quickly. If it’s running fine with no issues, that’s a red flag. I had a 1993 DX Sedan, and after 200k miles and 16 winters, it fell apart. Suspension work is expensive, and I don’t trust it for safety. Check the water pump and timing belt, too. Not sure about this D15 engine, but I had a head gasket issue with mine that cost me a lot to fix.
I reached out to the same person. He told me the rear brakes were cut and the front ones were out. I also got a picture showing the radiator support was crunched where the bumper damage is. His eagerness to sell seemed like a red flag.
@Marlow
That’s what I was thinking too. The eagerness to sell is odd. He must be lying to me because he said the brakes were fine. When I asked if it was dailyable, he said yes.

Last I saw, he updated the post with more photos showing rust on the rear quarter panels. That’s pretty typical for a Midwest car, but he also mentioned needing brake lines. It could be a good project car, but I wouldn’t trust it as a daily without a lot of work.
It looks sick, but you might need to put some money into it.
Update: The guy got really upset when I asked if we could meet halfway between my place and his. Guess it’s not meant to be.
