I think it’s worth it. They’re not the fastest but they’re so much fun to drive.

Definitely faster than a Ford Model T

Maybe if it’s going uphill.
I would say yes in a heartbeat
Seems like a bargain
If it runs fine, passes smog, and you swap those ugly Scion TC rims for something better, it’s a good deal
Definitely worth it
Yes!
Ask when the timing belt was last changed
I’d buy it all day
Yes, but those wheels and tires are way too big for the car
If the seller has been using those bigger wheels, they’ve changed the gear ratio and put a lot of stress on the clutch and transmission. If either of those parts are shot, you could end up spending much more than $2000. The rust issues also concern me, especially on a unibody car. If you’re not prepared to fix that, I would pass.

Where I’m at, finding a CRX in this condition for under 6k is very rare. I’ve seen rolling shells in worse condition sell for more than 3k CAD (Canadian dollars)

Have you considered that those people may not actually be getting their asking prices? I’ve met sellers asking outrageous prices for cars that need a lot of work, but when you meet them in person, they usually offer a lower price once they see the flaws. Just because the price is listed high doesn’t mean it sold for that amount. It’s a common sales tactic.
@Wynn
True, I get that. I’m mostly talking about the attitudes I’ve seen from sellers. But honestly, a 2k price for a running 90’s Honda that you can restore for less than 4k is a good deal to most people. I’d totally buy this CRX if I could afford it.
How many miles does it have?

220k miles, according to the post. I also have a short commute (less than 13 minutes).

It’s not just about your commute. With 220k miles, I’d say the car is worth more like $1500.
