How much should I sell my 97 Accord for?

Considering its mileage and manual transmission, probably around $2k since it is pretty clean and well taken care of.

Thanks!

Lose the steering wheel cover, respray the hub caps silver, and remove the non-matching wind visors. It will look much cleaner and more appealing for buyers.

Man, I miss mine…

Fair points. The only reason I got the wheel cover on is because the original steering wheel feels sticky on top.

@Cliff
Armor-all everything inside. Including the steering wheel and pedals. Just kidding, don’t do that. Nice looking car though for $2k, depending on the underbody. Everything looks super clean and well taken care of. Kudos, friend!

For the time and effort spray-painting wheel covers, just buy a set of cheap ones and throw them on. Just eat the $20 extra cost and save the time. The new owner will be happier with real covers or won’t care.

If you can wait until tax season, wait. Cars are so much easier to sell when the market is flush with money.

Yeah, I hear you. Thanks!

It’s absolutely gorgeous! I’d list it for $2500 if it has been surgically maintained for those 250k miles. I’d really have to be sold by a Honda enthusiast for $2k. I’d wait for a buyer who’s willing to pay those prices. This is a classic, beautiful and almost preserved Honda.

@Boone
Thanks!

2.5K you know what you got

I’m on mobile, so forgive the spelling please. Thanks.

My first car was a 97 Accord. I miss her so much. I was unfaithful to her and totaled her :sob:

I should have never traded my 97 5 speed EX in. Was in amazing shape. I miss it :cry:

@Sai
Those 97’s were a damn good car. Now that I’m 32, I will never ever get rid of a car that’s running great. I also regret trading in my 2008 Honda Civic. Those cars run for 500k miles. I was so dumb. I have a 2024 Civic now and won’t get rid of her unless it’s bad. My previous car was on its 3rd transmission and 2nd engine. The last breakdown was compression problems, and the car barely started. It was paid off, but I dumped way too much into that piece of crap Ford Fusion.

I bought a running and driving parts car CD7 for the manual trans. I bought it for $700, but it didn’t have any interior besides the front seats and dash. So, I bet you could get more.

Right, right. Thanks.

You still have it?
