How much is a 2015 Honda Civic with 144,000 miles worth?

I’m not a car expert, but I want to make sure I’m getting a good deal before buying this car.

I’m looking at a used 2015 Honda Civic LX Sedan with 144,000 miles. The maintenance is current, the engine looks clean, and it has a clean title.

The seller listed it for $9,700, but I got the price down to $8,500.

Can anyone tell me what this car is really worth for a cash offer? Does anyone have experience with this model and mileage? How much longer might it last with this many miles? And what would be the cost of maintaining it for the rest of its life?

In Phoenix, a 2015 Civic LX with 140,000 miles is still priced over $10,000 because it’s a popular car here. If the car has been well maintained, it could last another 140,000 miles. It’s a good idea to have a reliable mechanic check it out. Don’t just trust the seller’s claim that the maintenance is up to date unless they have records to prove it. From experience, many sellers don’t tell the truth about maintenance.

Just sharing my experience, but I crashed my 2015 CR-V with 260,000 miles on it a little over a week ago, and the insurance gave me $11,000 for it. I was amazed. The used car market is crazy right now.

That price seems pretty high unless there’s something special about the car. A quick check on Kelley Blue Book shows it’s worth about $7,500. I don’t know all the details, but it feels expensive. Used car prices are dropping quickly, so if the car has been listed for a few months, it might be an old price. I’m trading in a 2014 Si with 88,000 miles and the best offer I’ve gotten is $12,500. Make sure to do your research and get multiple opinions.

That’s a good deal for a 2015 Honda Civic.
