How can I make the Fit handle heavy loads better? Any tips?

This is well within the car’s specs. Just keep an eye on your dampers and brakes, and you’ll be good.

Pump your tires up more when carrying loads. You could also add airbags inside the springs to increase the load capacity if the sag bothers you.

I installed helper bags on my 2012 Mazda5 for when I carry a full load of passengers and gear. They level out the rear and work great. You might find something similar for the Fit.

Upgraded rims, a rear sway bar, and stiffer rear struts could make a big difference. Stock springs should be okay for most loads.

If you’re carrying 600–700 lbs, you might not need to change anything though.

Higher-rated tires and maintaining your brakes regularly are key when hauling heavy loads.

Upgraded suspension is probably the way to go. Also, just got to say, this forum is amazing—great car and great people.
