The dealerships near me often have oil change specials. I have a maintenance package, but I keep getting marketing postcards. They usually have a $69.99 oil change special. If I add a tire rotation, it costs less than $100.
I agree with this too. Dealers often have coupons or special deals. Most of the time, my oil changes cost less at the dealer than at regular auto shops like O’Brien’s.
I gotta say, I was surprised myself when I found out. I bought our previous Honda two weeks before we moved here. I just started going to the dealer because I didn’t know any local shops. My wife took it somewhere else and it was much more expensive than the dealer so back to the dealer we went.
My employer paid $129 for an oil change only (no tire rotation) on my work truck (6 qts 0W20 synthetic) at a quick-lube place. Yet I can take my personal truck (7 qts 0W20) to the Nissan dealer and get an oil change with tire rotation for $75 because they always have a deal.
If someone told me years ago the dealerships would be cheaper I would have laughed right in their face.
Where are you located? My dealership in Toronto charges $115 for an A1 service on my Civic and CR-V. Is it possible that the price is different for a Hybrid?
