I’ve owned lots of Hondas before, but this is my first brand-new one and also my first EV. I know it’s built on a GM platform, but so far, it’s been great. It’s going to be my wife’s daily driver and family car.
Good luck with it. If you end up going back to the dealership within the first 3,000 miles because of an error code, come back here and let me know how it goes. Just curious.

Mine lasted 24 hours before I had to take it back. Didn’t see it again for two months.
@Teo
That sounds all too common. Was it a battery, charger, or cooling system issue?
@Teo
That’s rough. What was the problem?
It was the brake cylinder or something related. Took forever to get the part. Honda corporate got involved and they still are. We just got it back a week ago, and while it drives nice, there are still some quirks.

Thanks. I’m leasing it, so I’m not too worried. Just a 24-month experiment for me.
Sticker price on this is $59,700, in case anyone’s curious.

Oof, that’s steep.
These have some tempting lease deals. Hope yours works out well.

Yeah, that’s why we went for it. Hard to argue with the low upfront cost and reasonable monthly payments. Plus, knowing it’s not a long-term car makes it easier to enjoy.
@Sky
Does California give state rebates for it? If you’ve owned a Honda before, there are rebates up to $12k, plus dealer cash if the dealer is willing to pass it on.
In two years, these might be basically free like how Enterprise is dumping Teslas now.
Congrats on your new Chevy… I mean Honda.
These things are terrible. Out of the seven we sold, three came back with issues. None of it is Honda; it’s 100% Chevy. It’s based on the Equinox EV, and even the regular Equinox isn’t great.

Actually, it’s based on the Blazer EV. So Chevy managed to mess up the Blazer’s name with this and dragged Honda into it, too.
Yikes. Hope it holds up for you.
