I usually go with the EG, but if it’s just between these, I’d pick EK.

Oh, the 5th gen is so good. I’m a big fan.

I’ve never owned one myself, but I love how EGs look too. They’re timeless.

EG with a glazer setup is unbeatable for me.
The EF wins for me. I imported an EF9 SiR, and it was incredible. It made the ED base model seem so basic in comparison. I also had an EK4, but it just didn’t measure up to the EF9.

My B16 swap came out of an ‘89 SiR! My ED6 is great, but the poverty pack specs stand out. Do you think you’d feel differently if you had owned an EK9 instead?
@Tao
I’ve owned a DC2R and an FK8, and I’ve driven an EK9. While the EK9 was similar to the DC2R and was amazing in its own way, the EF9 had so much charm. It had all the little extras that the ED didn’t get. I took my EF9 to 300k km, and it was still going strong… until a bus hit it. Even now, it’s my top pick.

My first car was a 1991 Civic Si. I still miss that little box.
@Azar
I had a ‘95 GSR back in high school, and one of my friends had a Civic Si. Those cars were so fun to push, even if they weren’t the fastest. I wish I could go back to those days.
EF for sure.
The boxy Hondas from the late '80s and early '90s are just so cool. The 89-91 Preludes are still one of my favourites.

My grandpa had a Prelude, and he used to take me to watch planes at the airport in it. Later, he gave me his Acura Legend coupe. That was a fun car, too—5-speed manual, V6, and even rear windows that rolled down.
@Ephraim
I had an ‘84 Prelude. It was rusty and beat-up but still a blast to drive. The odometer stopped at 276k miles before I got it, so who knows how far it actually went. It couldn’t pass inspection because of a rust hole, but I drove it for a year anyway.
@Zev
That’s awesome. Sounds like it had a lot of character.
EG for the win.
The ED/EF generation is my favourite Civic. That boxy look is so clean. It even got me into Volvo 850s later on.
EF for me. Those SSR wheels are a dream.
The ‘95-‘00 Civic is something special. It feels so spacious inside, even though it’s basically a big shell.
EF all the way.
