There’s a stamp on the front, opposite of the oil filter that tells you the engine code. It’s easy to find since it’s not in the car anymore. This will tell you if the engine has been swapped.
There’s a marking that says ‘BBB’ under the left exhaust port, on that rectangular part in the first picture.

That marking is related to the crankshaft bearings. The engine code stamp is on the exhaust side, where the transmission connects. Just clean it off if you can access it directly.

The engine code will be on the front left, where the transmission bolts up.
This is definitely an F22 from a 90-93 Accord. It’s missing the front balance shaft sprocket, belt, and timing belt.
If it’s from an 88 Accord, it could be an A20, or possibly an F22 if it’s from something later. Like others have said, clean the tab and check it. Let us know what you find .

The Honda A-series is 12-valve, so it’s likely 89 or later and probably some form of the F-series. Good thing it’s stamped on that little tab.
@Avery
You’re right! I forgot the A-series was 3 valves, not 4.
This looks like the F22A from my 92 Accord.
Honda happy to help
