I think it’s an OBD2 scanner port, but I would look it up first to be sure.

I agree. If the plug is under the steering wheel, it’s probably an OBD2 port for resetting something or dealing with an engine light.

The plug is near the cabin filter and glovebox, which is on the right side of the car. In the US, for left-hand drive cars, the OBD2 port is under the steering wheel on the driver’s side.
