Anyone having issues with Android Auto on the 2022 Honda Odyssey?

Hey all, I need some help with my 2022 Honda Odyssey Elite. I’ve been dealing with a weird issue with Android Auto. Every time I connect my phone, it either restarts right away or after a few attempts, and then it stays connected for a bit longer. Here’s what I’ve tried:

  1. Factory reset the infotainment system - Didn’t help.
  2. Checked for updates - Everything is up to date.
  3. Tried a new 3-foot data cable - It connects, but the problem still happens. The old cables wouldn’t connect at all.
  4. My phone worked fine with a 2019 Honda Ridgeline, so it doesn’t seem to be a phone issue.

Anyone else dealt with this? Any tips or fixes would be awesome. Thanks!

You could try resetting it by pulling the Radio fuse. It should be in the fuse box under the hood on the passenger side. Check the labels on the lid to find it.

Yep, I tried that. The fuse is inside, under the steering wheel. It was kind of a hassle, but it seemed to help a bit. The restarting isn’t as frequent now, and it feels more like a loose cable issue than a bigger problem.

Maybe it’s time to switch to an iPhone?

Haha, I might have to! I’ll give Apple Carplay a try later.

Well, I tested it… and Apple Carplay didn’t start either. So that’s a no-go.
