Anyone else getting excited thinking they might finally make a V8 sports car?

@Adi
The Nuremberg test showed what would have been a 2009-2012 NSX, looked like a baby Aston Martin. It had a 5.0L V10, front-engine, rear-drive, 500hp, and 500 lb-ft of torque. A detuned version was going to go into the RL.

@Marley
The Nuremberg test… wow.

Please tell me someone out there has the skills to swap this engine into a Honda car.

It’s a 60-degree V8 with the power and displacement of a J37, but with two extra cylinders. It’s slightly undersquare, probably to keep piston speeds low for longevity. Someone could definitely make it work.

@Mason
If it can handle high RPMs reliably, it would be great for an S2K with some cam adjustments and head porting.

It’s basically turned sideways. I’ve heard of people swapping old Mercury outboard engines into cars.

@Sam
Yeah, a lot of these engines share blocks, just with reversed firing orders and different cam or compression ratios.

Let me know when you do it, I’d love to see that.

The best part is when they’re still doing the throttle by hand .
