I’m new to this whole car modding thing, but I went ahead and removed some badges and installed black Honda emblems myself. Not a big job, but I’m proud I did it, and it turned out looking great. I also removed the ‘sport touring’ badge. No badges except for the front and rear H logos now. Planning to do a chrome delete and add some tint later. Apologies for the poor lighting in the photo, I just finished it up.
Looks awesome. How did you go about taking off the badges and putting on the black Hs?

I used dental floss with a bit of goo gone. Cuts right through the adhesive pretty easily. Took me about an hour, mostly to get rid of the leftover glue. I soaked it with goo gone and used my fingers and a microfiber to clean it off. The black Hs are OEM and just peel and stick. The front one is a bit tricky since it’s got a bezel and small fasteners. Honda says to take off the bumper, but most just pry it carefully. Mine didn’t break, but I did have to push out the small pins to attach the new badge.
@Finnley
This method works. I don’t see why anyone would pay a dealership to do this.
This method is the way to go, especially on a hatchback since the emblems sit so low.
Looks great! I have the HDP package and bought a black ‘sport’ badge, so my chrome one is coming off.

I ordered a black sport badge, but they sent a huge one. Looks like it’s made for a CRV.
@Charlie
Oh, that’s a bummer. I haven’t actually tried fitting it yet, but now I’ll double-check. Thanks for the heads-up.
@Charlie
Honestly, wish they’d just drop ‘sport’ from the model name altogether. Feels unnecessary.
Got mine looking the same way on my sedan. Love the look.
Just did this too! The front emblem was tough to get off but looks so much better now. Next up: removing the chrome trim around the windows.

The shop I’m using for the tint is throwing in the chrome delete for a bit extra. I think it’s normally $200-300 for a full car, but we only have those top strips, so it’s cheaper. I thought about doing it myself, but I don’t have the right tools.
@Finnley
Do they just use super dark tint over the chrome?
Wondering if this is better than buying the chrome delete stickers on Amazon with all the bad reviews. Also, where’s the best place to find black Hs?
@Lyle
They use vinyl and apply it with heat guns and small tools. I got my emblems straight from Honda. College Hills Honda is a good spot for OEM stuff. I also grabbed a console tray since mine didn’t have one…it even has a little hidden compartment underneath .
@Finnley
Nice! Thanks. I recently got a new horn from College Hills, and it sounds way better than the stock one. Highly recommend.
Quick question… why do people do this? What’s the appeal?

Honestly, I think chrome looks bad. The badges just feel out of place. The car has a cleaner look without them, and the black H matches the wheels. Gives it a simple, cool look and shows off the colour more.
Looks good. I used plastidip on mine but still thinking about removing the civic and sport badges from the trunk.
Funny enough, I accidentally got a badge delete when I had my trunk repaired. They didn’t put the Civic logo back, but it actually looks pretty nice.
Wow, so unique…
