I finally had to part ways with my si. I bought it brand new. I did a k24 bottom end with a k20 head, fully built motor. Sk2 full suspension. The car was really fast. Then one night leaving work, it wouldn’t start. I push started it to get home and then parked it. Between work and life, I never did anything with it. It sat for almost 10 years. I decided it was time, especially since I really needed the money right now. I hope someone buys it and gets it back on the road.
That might end up in the junkyard… maybe someone will pull the swap and rebuild it. Not saying the tow company won’t try to flip it, but doubtful… ahhh life

Who knows man? It’s been sitting too long and I’m not going to do anything with it. I just bought an 02 s2000 that I’m going to play with. And I really need the cash right now.
@Cleo
Nah you’re fine bro, I’m just saying it kind of sucks life didn’t let you rebuild it or something, ya know?

Oh I know, I loved that car until I started having motor issues and the shop closed down. So I parked it and never looked back. It’s been sitting since 2015 and has been more of an eyesore than anything, especially with the clear coat issues that make the car look bad.
@Cleo
Man, I could have bought it.

Oh well, too late now. I was really pressed to get money fast. I don’t have a job, and my new one doesn’t start until the 4th. I need to get some cash as soon as possible.
@Cleo
I feel that, best of luck to you, homie.

Thanks man, this sale definitely helps me relax now.
Dang, I would have bought it because I have a nice K20 sitting here that was for my 4-door integra, but it was stolen and not recovered, so it would have been perfect. Truly a sad day.

Yeah, if I had more time, I’m sure I could’ve sold it for more. But being unemployed for a few more weeks, and after a small house fire, I needed the cash now.
How much are you selling it for?

They offered me a little over 900. It won’t start on its own, and I also suspect there are motor issues too. It burned oil like no car I’ve ever had. I might have gotten a bit more if I tried to sell it to someone directly. But money has been tight, and this will keep me going until my new job starts.
@Cleo
Bro, for 900 that’s a great deal. Damn.
I definitely wasn’t expecting that much at all. I jumped on that offer really quick.

Wish I had known. I would’ve paid 1,500 for that and fixed it up. I want an early 2010s si so badly.
@Nyle
But yeah, I spent way too much money at that shop, and I think they built a bad motor. Everything was aftermarket. Head work, upgraded valves, cams, pistons. Full motor, but it only ran well for a few months after I got it back.
@Cleo
Did it need those upgrades or did you just want them?

It had those upgrades. It was a fully built k24/k20 motor. From the ebc prepped block to the cams. Everything was upgraded. The trans couldn’t handle the power though. I broke it at least three times. I wanted it upgraded but all the parts were on backorder.
@Nyle
And shortly after that, the shop closed down… go figure.
