I’m really struggling to find a good car within my budget.
Look for a used civic or accord.

I’ve been trying to find a decent civic, but no luck, man. I live in South Texas.

Check autotempest. It pulls results from a lot of popular car websites like cars.com and autotrader, and you can also search Facebook marketplace. Its search filters are really good.

NOTHING. Why is this so hard?

Try increasing your search radius and check if your zip code is correct.

Sorry, I don’t actually mean ‘nothing’, just nothing good. Been looking for 5 days
If looks don’t matter, consider a new Mitsubishi Mirage ES. Mine lasted 180k miles with no major issues. It’s a very overlooked car. Accords and Civics are better, but under 20k, this might last you 150k miles more.
S2k
Check Carvana. I just bought a 2017 Accord from them.

How much did it cost? How many miles?

It was $22,000. I had a trade-in worth $7,000, so total came to about $15,000. The car had 60k miles and was a 1-owner. I paid cash, and the process was easy. If you’re financing, it’s not terrible either. I also returned another car I wasn’t happy with, and the customer service was great.
@Cassian
I plan on putting around 8k down, but still, it’s $17k for a car with 100k miles.
A used civic with low miles would be great.

Here’s a link to a civic under $19,000 with under 75,000 miles: [link]
How about a 2019+ Mazda 3 hatchback?
Get an EP3 Si. It’s a super cool, reliable car for well under 20k. You just need to know how to drive manual.
I grabbed a 2014 Accord V6 with 80,000 miles for under $20,000.
A 2018-2021 Civic 2.0l (LX or Sport) would be a great choice. Just service the CVT every 40-50k miles, and it’ll last over 200k miles.
