Heeey all,…I’m about to do an oil change on my Honda Accord and realized I’m not sure which oil type to use. Anyone know the best type or brand for this car? Mine’s a 2018 model, if that helps.
Thanks!

You can use name brand oil that is 5w20 or 5w30. Mobil 1, Castrol, Valvoline, and so forth. If you can locate high mileage oil, that would be great, but if not, it won’t really affect anything.
The recommended oil for a Honda Accord is usually synthetic 0W-20. This oil type is designed to handle the high temperatures and demands of the engine, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Hi Emma, Honda specifically recommends synthetic oil for its engines because it offers superior performance and protection compared to conventional oil. The 0W-20 viscosity grade provides optimal engine lubrication across various temperatures.
Important Note: Always consult your owner’s manual for your vehicle’s exact specifications and recommendations.
Difficult to advise since you have not indicated the engine’s capacity. recent versions of Accord, however, have been using 0w20 or 0w30(mainly for diesel engines). The 5w40 was last used in the 2002 Honda Accord
