@Terrell
I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but this picture convinced me to go for it.
They look way better than the original touring wheels. How much did you spend to have them painted?

The dealership arranged for a third-party shop to do it as a $1,000 add-on. I didn’t check other places, but I justified it with the discount I got on the car.
@Cassius
Why not use that $1,000 to buy a second, better set of rims? You could’ve kept or sold the original ones.

I just took a chance that the stock rims would look great in black—and I think they do. Plus, it was more convenient than buying and selling rims.
@Cassius
That makes sense, but for the same price, you could’ve gotten lightweight rims and kept the originals as spares.

True, but I wasn’t sure I’d get better quality rims for $1,000, especially after including installation costs.
@Cassius
It depends on what you’re looking for. For example, Enkei RPF1s cost about $250 each and are great for track use. Some sellers even deliver them mounted and balanced with tyres. I use a different set of Enkeis as winter wheels for my Type R—they’re lighter and just as strong as the original Type R rims. You might’ve felt a bigger difference compared to your stock touring wheels.
@Cassius
That’s way overpriced. You could’ve bought brand-new sport rims for the same cost.

I did think about that, but I’m really happy with how these turned out. If I had to decide again, I’d still go for it.
@Cassius
I’d personally prefer two sets of rims for the same money, but to each their own.

That’s fair enough—different priorities for different people.
These look amazing. I wanted to do the same for mine but was worried about how it’d turn out. You’ve convinced me to go for it—thanks.

Glad I could help! I had the same hesitation, so I figured sharing this might make it easier for others to decide.
@Cassius
Did you get them powder-coated? I’m considering hyperdip since it’s not permanent.
