Well, that was fun... what's next for the car?

I bid you farewell

So sorry. We lost our 2 Honda Civics in 54 weeks- one to a hit and run and the second to a plumber’s truck. Now we have a '23 HRV Sport and a '19 Civic Sport. Brand loyalty.

I got a BMW after my first Civic. It was a short-lived spurt

Those Mazdas look really nice. I don’t see myself getting an SUV or crossover but if I did, I would go for a Mazda CX for sure.

I agree, they are good looking. If I was interested in that class of car. I’ve driven my mum’s CX-5 and am thoroughly impressed with its driving dynamics. For a cheaper SUV, it handles surprisingly well and they do have a good style.

This Mazda color and the tire look sick! Anyways… what was the estimated cost to repair this wounded Civic?

Thanks! I was really drawn to the color. The Civic was a total loss. Airbag deployed, engine damage, frame damage. I ran into an F250 Powerstroke, and that metal bumper really destroyed my car.

Dang… she is hurt from the inside… my first impression was ‘oh, it’s just headlight and some damage’. RIP

Yeah, it felt like hitting a brick wall. His truck, on the other hand, only has a single dent.

Sorry about the Civic, but I will say, I’m a Mazda certified mechanic and the CX50 is a great, reliable car. It’s big enough for kids but not a suburban. I’d say you made a great choice. I’m about to buy one for my wife.

Congrats on the Mazda

Thanks .

How did it get totaled? Sad to see a Type R go out, definitely hard to replace. I love the wheels on the Mazda .

That’s not a Type R, so we all can relax… still, it’s tough to lose a car like this.

@Blane
Yeah, I came from Subaru. Got this during COVID, didn’t want to pay the Type R markup.

It’s a fake Type R, hehe, but a big Ford Powerstroke reversed out really quick and hit the back.

@Kim
I had an inkling it was fake but didn’t want to assume if it were real. I’d say it was a pretty good fake.

Yeah, I took care of it.

Not a Mazda fan, but good luck with it.
