Fit at the Honda Collection Hall
Next to the formula cars, right where it belongs

I will always love Honda for displays like this. Not often you see econoboxes sharing equal footing with F1 cars
This is the kind of fan energy I’m here for
It’s a beautiful machine
I love how the fit seems like the star of the display. The F1 cars seem like an afterthought

It even got its own backdrop. Of what? Itself

What if it was a picture of the entire contents of a studio apartment packed in though
THE Honda FitJazz
Big fan of how, even among the finest machines on earth, an F1 car dares to show its face
Is this the collection hall in Tochigi? Is it worth the trip?

It’s the collection hall in Motegi. For what it’s worth, I think the Toyota museum in Nagoya is a better trip. It’s easier to get to from Tokyo (all rail), and they have more cars to see. Plus, there’s more to do in Nagoya. By comparison, Motegi is a bit out of the way, but they run a bus from the rail station to the hall. I took the train to Mito and rented a car there. It checked off ‘driving in Japan’ and seeing the Honda collection hall, so it was a great day trip. The drive was beautiful if you’re used to driving on the right side of the road. Track day at Motegi (and seeing the pits) was an added bonus

Did you rent a Fit?

Sadly, I didn’t. I rented a Yaris from Toyota Rentacar. I used to work for a Honda and Toyota dealer, so it worked out either way

The one time I visited Japan while I was in the Army, I had trouble crossing the street because traffic was “backwards.” F**k driving, a lifetime of looking one way for incoming traffic made even walking difficult
@Levi
Haha. At least the average Japanese driver respects pedestrians. Not having to sprint across the road, even with a walk symbol, was a big difference compared to the US
@Eli
I agree about the Toyota museum. One thing I love about it is their catalog section and gaming section

Was definitely planning on going there. Kyoto and Osaka are more attractive to me than Tokyo, but I think the Toyota museum is much closer to there

The so-called Subaru museum, which is really just a dealership, was a letdown. The only good part is it’s near the Ghibli museum/park. The Mazda museum/factory tour was dull for me. Nissan in Zama is similar to Honda. Overall, visiting Japan is always worth it. I’ve been back 2 or 3 times already, and I plan to go again in April 2025 and 2026
