Was all about Subaru but now I'm into Hondas after picking up an Accord daily… Who knew?

I think the TSXs were peak Honda. Especially the later 2nd gen J35 ones

I’ve heard a lot of people say the TSX seems to be the best car Honda’s made. Personally, I prefer the styling of the 1st gen more, and it’s hard to beat the K24A2 with a 6-speed manual

@Briar
It’s one of my favorites. Plus, the k24 is such an incredible engine.

@Briar
I love both lol. I agree the K24 6MT was probably the best version of the TSX

I’ve driven both cars you’ve shown almost identical. Hondas feel nice to drive (sedans in particular). FXT manual is fun for pulls though.

The FXT pulled great but sold it because I bought it already built, and there were a lot of things I didn’t care for with how they were done. So I sold it with intentions to buy a stock car to build, which is my 6-speed TSX, and maybe another Subaru someday. Had an 03 WRX and honestly don’t think there’s a better car suited for me, but it’s too expensive to get a clean one I trust for daily use. Had to sell mine due to rust and got bored of the auto.

If that’s a 4 cylinder 7th gen from 03-05 then that is an exact match to my car. Same colour, same trim, same alloys.

Yep. Mine’s actually got 17" Mazda wheels since it came with the 15" steelies, but they’re pretty close to those 16’s that came on the 7th gen.

@Briar
No way, that’s awesome. You’re even 05 as well.

I have both and yes, the Accord is more luxurious and smooth. The Legacy feels like a little sporty bouncy truck.

I thought my Accord rode nice until I got the TSX. It’s so smooth and handles great with my upgraded RSB. Both my Subarus were like go-karts but needed to make a more financially smart decision for now.

@Briar
Miss my 2009 TSX for these reasons.

I have a 2004 Acura TSX that I’ve owned since 2012. It’s starting to wear out now lol

How many miles do you have on it? So far, mine just has some suspension bushings and joints wearing out after a low 241k miles lol

@Briar
Mine is 234k but in kms. Live in Canada, not really sure what it is in miles but enough I guess. The engine is still strong, twenty years old, and still doesn’t burn or leak oil. Just a lot of little things wrong with it.

@Dev
About 145k miles. That sucks, but a lot of times the first model year of a car, especially a brand-new car, will have more issues compared to the later years of that generation. My Accord burns oil, but the TSX doesn’t seem to.

@Briar
I’ve had it for 12 years, and by the time I buy my new car, I will have had the TSX for fifteen years, so I can’t complain.

Have a number of Hondas and a Subaru SH XT Man. All great but in different ways, the subbie does require many more fixes over the years though.

Most of my issues with the Hondas have been suspension-related, and Accords had several minor engine issues, but the Subarus are way more expensive when it comes to repairs. I’ve loved all my cars, but Hondas are just cheaper to daily and repair. Still can’t say I like them more than Subarus though.
