Thinking about a new exhaust… any recommendations?

I have the Invidia N1 and honestly… don’t do it

Why though? Is it bad quality or just too loud and raspy?

It sounds terrible in my opinion, like one of those loud tin can exhausts. Doesn’t really suit the car. I’ll DM you a clip from when I had it.

I’m running a Skunk2 mega power catback with an AEM intake and stock headers. It’s pretty loud but not raspy at all.

Mega power haha… gotta love how wild these exhaust names are

The APEXI is a great choice. I have it on my Prelude, and it got rid of that typical 4-cylinder rasp. Sounds way better in my opinion.

Do you have any sound clips? Would love to hear it. Most of the YouTube videos I’ve found are years old.

@Morgan
If this is the one, I think it sounds kinda different from the usual Honda exhausts:

I’ve got the APEXI setup too. Quiet at idle but really comes alive when you step on it.

One thing though… on a stock setup, the lowest part is only 4-4.5 inches off the ground. I’ve scraped mine a couple of times even being super careful.

That’s actually the one I was leaning towards. I keep hearing ‘you get what you pay for’ so I figured I might as well go for a solid brand.

I always check out sound clips before buying an exhaust. Helps a lot to know what you’re getting.

Yeah, I tried but a lot of the videos are super old. Some of those exhausts aren’t even sold anymore, and I couldn’t find clips for the ones I was looking at.

Not sure if this matters, but I’m planning to get a PLM Ram horn 4-1 header later on for a bit more power. Would that affect which exhaust I should go with?

Shouldn’t be a problem if you’re going with a catback system.

I’ve got a Kakimoto on my Type S… hands down the best one I’ve tried.

Honestly, most exhausts I’ve heard on modded Preludes are trying too hard to sound like a V6 or something.

I was thinking about getting a Remus because it actually enhances the engine’s natural tone instead of changing it completely. Too bad they stopped making them ages ago.

Been running a WS1 since around 2004-2005. It’s got the perfect balance of sound and performance for me.
