You can’t upgrade greatness. Million Mile Joe got 1000000 miles from one of these Accords. Original engine.
Damn that is super clean for a 32 year old car. Relatively low mileage too. I’m most impressed by the crystal-clear headlights.
Really miss the days of simple analog controls.

The headlights on these were still glass, so they don’t fog up! I believe they switched to plastic in the 94-97 generation.
The GOAT of the Honda Accord. 90-93 are the simplest to work on and with basic maintenance last forever. Look out for clogged EGR ports and if you hit a curb realize you’re going to need a front and back sub frame. Distributors can be a little wonky too.
If you plan on keeping this, keep it out of the NY salt or it will disintegrate before your very eyes. Check eBay for interior parts, they’re pretty uncommon these days. You have a 4 door so you will be able to find spares. Watch out for part outs local to you.
No need to modify it, they’re great cars as they sit. This car will take you to California if you need it to almost guaranteed, as long as the maintenance has been reasonably kept up on. If anything find a set of EX wheels and throw them on.
Both of mine have over 250k miles, and the only thing that’s modified is a Bluetooth radio on each, and a set of EX wheels on my coupe.
What a fantastic find!
Man, that brings back memories… Awesome!
I almost bought my uncles (next gen I think?). Had a sweet BOSE system, nice leather, and so comfortable. Thanks for sharing.
I had one just like that, except mine had the right transmission in it. It went 333,000 miles before my first wife wrecked it.
Wasn’t there a time when they all had black dashes? I remember seeing them come into work all different colors but all having a black dash. I could be wrong. These cars are treasures and were so much better than anything else in its class at the time.
My first car was a ’92 Accord LX sedan, red with gray interior. I loved that car. If it hadn’t gotten flooded during Hurricane Katrina in ’05, I might’ve kept that car forever. lol
H swap, manual swap, JDM parts.
Beautiful, beautiful car, enjoy it. This was my first car. Same color and all.
It even has the original Honda floor mats.
Man o man, what a find. I’d buy another in a heartbeat. My first car I bought on my own, used however, was a 92 accord exr, it was a great car! I beat the shit out of it. At the end I ran it with no coolant for months and it didn’t wanna die. Not suggested though!! care for her and treat her well, like I should have when I had mine 20+ years ago.
Sick
Gorgeous
We had one of those back in the day. There’s a way you can disconnect the speed sensor, it stops the odometer from turning over.

That’s illegal and called odometer tampering.
Nice find! Just treat it right and it will take care of you! Maybe start stocking up on the basic wear parts for the future. I dunno how readily available parts are for this generation, so down the road it might be handy to have ready. I would go no mods, make sure the rubber (hoses and belts) are good, fluid flush if needed and let er run with basic maintenance from there. Edit: maybe put a killswitch in. I like the ones with a key cylinder, not just a toggle switch.
