I love it… but that intake thing sticking out of the hood looks a bit odd.

It’s like a mix of genius and nonsense… Venturi ram air just gives off that vibe.

You mean Honda’s version of a colostomy bag?

Honestly, the intake is the best part… This whole thing is crazy, and the guy just leaned into it.

It’s way better than shoving a short ram intake under the hood, pulling in hot air. This setup actually gives you true cold ram air.
@Luca
Or you could just route the piping to the back of a headlight duct… That would look way less weird and still get the job done.
@Luca
Ram air doesn’t really do anything until you hit about 200 mph… Anything under that and it’s just another cold air intake. I’m guessing the guy just stuck it on for the look because it’s not practical for normal driving.
@Flynt
Google’s free, dude. A ram air intake starts to make a difference at around 60 to 100 mph, depending on the setup, aerodynamics, and a bunch of other stuff.

Here’s a breakdown I found… AI might be hit or miss, but these numbers make sense:
Ram air becomes noticeable at high speeds, usually between 60-100 mph. Below that, it doesn’t make much of a difference. Once you hit 100-150 mph, it starts to give a small boost, and above 150 mph, it can add 3-5% power depending on the setup.
A lot of things affect how well it works… Duct design, air filter position, aerodynamics, and even altitude can mess with it.
@Luca
Man, I’m not buying it. Most sources I found say it’s more useful at way higher speeds, like drag racing speeds. Civic isn’t gonna benefit much from it.

You know AI just pulls info from the internet, right? It’s basically just mashing up search results. I get it, you don’t like the answer, but that doesn’t make it wrong.
@Luca
You’re half right… AI scrapes info but also tries to piece together its own take. That’s why it’s kinda sketchy for stuff like this.

If the citations back it up, how can it be wrong? Even if AI’s not perfect, it’s not just pulling stuff out of thin air.
