Hi, I accidentally damaged my passenger side door near the front panel and the wheel well. It was a light hit, but now the door won’t open all the way. The door is the only part that is dented; the panel just has scratches. How much do you think it will cost to fix this? Thanks! It’s a 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid.
It’s tough to know how much it would cost without getting an estimate from a professional shop, but it looks like it might need some work. They will probably have to take off the door and fender to fix and paint them. You should call your insurance tomorrow to start a claim. Don’t be too hard on yourself; these things happen, and everything can be fixed.
@Sun
Thank you!

I can’t help but read this in Hootie’s voice. Edit: Hootie, not Bootie.
The person who posted this, yeah, it’s an easy fix. You should check out a dent repair shop for a cheaper solution.

Thanks! Someone told me if the door needs reshaping, it would cost around $1500!
@Finch
He’s joking around.

I know, lol. It’s not worth arguing with strangers online.

I wasn’t joking. I’d also take my car to a PDR shop to get the acorn dents out of the hood since they know how to fix car dents.
I had a similar situation, but mine was worse. I paid my insurance deductible of $500, and it looks brand new now, lol. The actual repair cost was $2000.
I paid to fix something like that, and it cost me $1700. I suggest getting a dash cam and waiting for someone to hit you there, then file a claim with their insurance. But don’t intentionally get into a crash. I had a girl kick in my door on my last car, and I just drove with the damage until someone smashed into me, then I got the whole door and front bumper fixed.
No.
Take it to a local shop instead of asking online. Are you planning to do it yourself? I doubt that.

I was wondering since it’s late, lol. I already left a voicemail, and there’s no way I’m fixing it myself. Thanks for the advice!
Honestly, you’ll need to replace a quarter panel and a door. It won’t look good if you mess around with it. Don’t let bad shops take advantage of you.

That’s the fender and front passenger door of a 10th-gen Accord. A new door and fender can be realigned and painted.
Kind of. You need to replace the panel and the door and match the paint. You could try pulling the dent out with a dent puller, then sand and paint the spot. If you’re trying to fix it yourself, it really depends on your skills. A shop would charge you $1200 to $2000.
$2500 to $3500. You should go to an I-Car certified body shop.
