No, no. I want to keep it, just change the color to the new white to match the rest of the interior since the gauges and radio are white.
@Nash
You’ll need a soldering iron and get the right white LED. You could probably get better advice over at this forum’s electronics section.
@Nash
Oh, if you figure it out, let me know which LED you use. I’ve been looking for something dimmer, the standard ones are too bright for my project…
Is the board damaged? Do you want to replace it? If so, I’d just find one from a junkyard.
What’s this for anyway? My light is blue, not yellow or amber.

It’s mood lighting. I don’t remember the details exactly, but some models have amber while others have blue.
@Vivian
It’s a cup holder or shifter light. It’s not meant to be an ambient light; it’s just to give enough light for you to see better without being too bright.
@Vivian
Oh, okay. I saw the small speaker next to the light and thought maybe it was a Honda emergency thing for accidents. Do you know what that speaker is for?

As far as I remember, that’s the Bluetooth mic.
@Vivian
It’s not mood lighting, it’s a courtesy light.

A courtesy light comes on when you open the door, like those on the doors. This one is mood lighting, it’s always on while driving.
@Vivian
It’s called a map light in the manual. Mine’s red. I think red is better for night vision.

The map lights turn on when you press them or when the door is open, if you set it that way. Some models have blue light, it’s just ambient light while driving.
@Vivian
Right, I have a 2016 CR-V and was wondering why it’s there. Mine’s blue. Glad someone asked, I’m too lazy to bother, so thanks.

Same.

The manual calls it a map light. Mine is red for night vision.
This feature is great in our Odyssey. Just enough light in the dark to see the tray between the front seats, and it’s amber.
No, it’s supposed to be blue, not red.
