It’s not just an oil change. They’re working on your brakes too, which adds to the cost.

This is from the online Minder schedule at my Honda dealership. My dashboard says ‘09’, but the site shows ‘main symbol 09’ and ‘sub symbol 09’, and I don’t know what the difference is.
@Lachlan
Main items are marked with letters (A or B), sub items are the numbers like 0 or 9.

Ah, got it! In Canada, it’s slightly different. We use A for the oil filter and 9 for the rest—brakes, suspension, steering, etc. It’s all in the manual.
By the way, 352 CAD is about 256 USD, not 300. Still, if you’re concerned about the price, check what the brake service includes. Dealerships are always pricier, but you can take it to an independent shop instead. If you’re in the GTA, expect higher costs across the board. Just remember to keep receipts if you do the work elsewhere or on your own, for warranty purposes.
I’d suggest getting an estimate directly from a shop you trust. Online estimates aren’t always accurate. And yeah, dealerships will overcharge for basic services like an oil change. Just avoid them if you can.
@Cameron
This is from the dealership’s Minder schedule. It’s in Canadian dollars but still roughly $300 USD.

Got it, I saw that online page and thought it was just a generic estimate. Yeah, dealerships charge way more for simple stuff. Maybe look into a service contract if you want to keep using them. Once my free services were up, I stopped going to the dealership unless it was a warranty claim.
@Cameron
Can you refuse some of the services at the dealership?

You can refuse anything that hasn’t been done yet.

But would that affect my warranty? Like, what if I skip something?
