Looks like it is. Where else can I find a non-SUV, low-tech, manual car like her?

There are still plenty of Fits out there. You just need to look for another first-gen manual.
@Tan
Why do you recommend the first-gen?
Mainly because you mentioned wanting something low-tech.
I’m amazed both headlights survived without a scratch.

The windshield survived too, even though the engine is pushed in. The driver stayed safe. Honestly, I’m impressed. I have a first-gen Fit, and this makes me feel safer driving it. Sorry you lost her.
@Blaise
The engine was still running fine. The windshield crack came from my coworker’s head hitting it.

The crash happened at an angle. He turned right just before the collision, probably when he noticed me. He drives around with his car full of weed fumes, but the cops couldn’t prove anything.
I had no options to avoid it. If I’d swerved into oncoming traffic and he stayed in his lane, it might’ve been my fault. Now I don’t know what car to get next.
@Fife
Sorry you went through that. Don’t stress too much about the replacement. GE Fits are still easy to find, and you should be able to get something similar.
Your car did its job—keeping you safe. That’s what matters most.
It’s hard to lose her, but she did a great job protecting everyone inside, right?

She did. My coworker cracked the windshield with his head. I just got a few scrapes on my hands, probably from the airbag.
@Fife
You should file a claim for whiplash too.
Frontal crashes are terrifying. At least it’s only the car. Insurance should cover it.
She’s not gone… just about to come back as something new.

I’d love to have a necklace made from my old second-gen Fit that I just lost.
I’m amazed by how well Honda designed that crumple zone.
This gives me more confidence to drive fast… but yeah, no way the insurance is paying to rebuild her.

Not sure how fast the other driver was going. Maybe 50kph? I was barely moving at 20kph and sliding on ice when it happened.
I’m sorry for your loss.
