Nope
The maid from Family Guy says ‘No, no’
That’s a nope
NO NO NO Get with ya
The front cradle/subframe was deformed - car is done for sadly. and not worth fixing with these miles.
I guess it really depends on how much money they’re gonna give you for the value, and how much they will charge for you to buy it back! But it is a Honda Accord, and they are quite legendary. I’m still driving my 2015 and I’ve got over 260 K on it, and it drives like new.
@Dez
I agree!!! To add to that you’re probably better off with the money they’re paying you. Get another accord
Airbag deployment is an automatic no for me

It was just the driver front airbag and driver seatbelt pretensioner. I’d agree if any of the others went off since the passenger front airbag would tear the top of the dash, the side airbags would tear the front seats and headliner, pillar trim, etc.
@Wade
Yeah… I still stand by my original comment.

That’s exactly what I said as soon as I saw the airbag deployed
Edit: We’re the original owners, I really liked this car and have a sentimental attachment to it. It’s a 2015 LX with 163k miles, it ran and drove perfectly before the accident. Insurance said it’s totaled as soon as they saw the airbag deployment.
@Wade
lol I currently might or might not be missing an airbag from my 2004 Honda Accord 3.0
@Wade
wow… that really sucks. my condolences. feels like losing a good friend
@Wade
In my experience, no. How much are they offering to sell it back to you for and how much are they cutting you a check for the totaled amount?
Not even a little bit
If you were to post that in this forum, everyone would be telling you to absolutely buy that back. I’m also one that would buy it back because that’s very minimal damage. If you’re handy or know a buddy who is, you can get that car back looking great in no time.
@Sawyer
It definitely looks fixable, unfortunately I’m not skilled enough nor do I have a shop to do it myself

You don’t even need a shop. Make a post asking if there are local mechanics in your area. The frame needs to be straightened and then a few panels and then the airbag and you’re good to go. If your insurance is giving you a good amount back then make the call yourself. TDIs are worthless to an insurance company and everytime they total it out. It’s rather frustrating
