Is buying a 2004 Accord a good idea?

Hey everyone, I have a 2007 BMW 318d with 300,000 km, and I’m thinking about selling it to buy a 2004 Honda Accord 2.0 VTEC with 230,000 km.

I’ve heard that Accords are reliable and, plus, it’s not a diesel.

I’m worried that the Accord might not be as comfortable as the 318d. What do you think about the comfort of the Accord?

Is it easy to add features to the Accord? How’s the sound system?

Do you think this is a good deal?

I had a 2004 Accord V6, and it’s still one of my favorite cars. I’ve mostly driven Honda, Toyota, and Nissan because I didn’t have a lot of money. The Accord had a comfy interior, a smooth ride, and was reliable. Even though the V6 is known for transmission problems, I never had any issues and drove it to about 200,000 km.

I didn’t add any options, but it’s probably easy to do since Honda parts are widely available.

It might not be as fast or fancy as a BMW, but I still think Hondas are really nice.

Good to know!

Unfortunately, it won’t be the V6—it’s the 155hp version.

It might not be as fancy, but it’s supposed to be faster than my current car, so that’s actually a plus.

It’s definitely more reliable, but I’m not sure about the comfort.

Thanks for this wonderful piece of information.

All I hear is bad stories about the V6

Thanks for info but I’m not getting the V6

My girlfriend has a 2003 Euro Accord, and I think the ride is really good. The interior feels solid and doesn’t seem cheap at all.

I really love Honda, but I wouldn’t buy a 20-year-old car if I was worried about reliability. I have an 04 Accord, and it has left me stranded a few times.
