Is $29k too high for a '19 Civic Coupe Touring... any advice?

I’m debating a big spend here and need some advice… Is $29k out the door too much for a ‘19 Civic Coupe Touring? They don’t make them anymore, and I love the look of coupes, but it seems steep. I looked at the Prelude too, but that starts around $31k. Coming from a 2006 Civic Coupe EX that got totaled.

Just buy new… why spend almost $30k on a five-year-old car?

You’d be paying close to the price of a brand new Civic for a car that’s five years old just because it has fewer doors.

Less doors = more fun, kidding. You guys talked sense into me. Thanks for the input.

Yes.

Dude, just get a new Civic.

For sure, yes.

You could get a brand new Civic Sport for that price… or even a used 11th-gen Touring.

Someone posted the MSRP of a 2025 Sport Touring at around $30.3k. Sure, it’s not a coupe, but would you really rather pay close to that amount for a used car?

My wife got a 2019 Sport sedan for under $25k, certified pre-owned with 45k miles.

That still sounds like a rough deal. If it was the Touring trim, I could understand it a little better.

I’m selling my 2018 Civic Coupe right now, and I had no idea people would pay extra for my missing doors. I got it for $26k out the door brand new, and now people are only offering around $16k… hurts a bit.

@Tait
I just can’t resist the look of a coupe, to be honest.

I’m with you! I’ve got two little ones now, though, so it’s time to retire my preferred wheels and probably grab a minivan.

@Tait
I sold my 2017 Civic Coupe for the same reasons. Only got $8k since it had about $6k in damage.

Ouch! That sounds rough. Hope everyone was okay.

Yeah, it was a deer accident back in January. Sold it a month later. Now driving a 2024 Elantra N-line. Similar to the Civic Coupe, but now my speakers don’t rattle!

@Dimitri
Thanks for the heads-up. I’ll remember that while car shopping.

Yes, for 3-4k more you could get something brand new.
