I finally hit 10,000 miles... anyone else have low mileage stories?

I bought a 2019 back in September with just 8,145 miles on it… really low for a used car. Now it just hit 10,000 miles and no issues at all. I’m pretty happy with it

That’s super low mileage! You definitely scored with that car. If you’re following the maintenance schedule, it’s probably been through 5 or 6 oil changes already. Usually, the reminder comes on every 10,000 miles or once a year.

I’ve heard that the VTC actuator issues in these cars can be related to the long oil change interval. I was told to change mine every 5,000 miles instead. I started noticing a rattle around 65k miles after sticking to the 10,000-mile interval. Now I just change it myself every 5,000 miles with synthetic oil.

I’ve only done one oil change and one tire rotation since I got it in September. I’m not sure what the previous owner did… I have the history somewhere but can’t remember right now.

Previous owner probably just walked everywhere instead of driving.

I thought they stopped selling FITs in 2020 in the US… that mileage really is low compared to what I see around here.

Congrats on keeping the mileage low. I’m the same way… I barely put 5k on mine a year, so I just change the oil annually.

With just 10k miles, it really shouldn’t be giving you any trouble.

My 2015 hasn’t even hit 100k yet. I got it in 2018 when it only had 11k on it.
