How long did your original tires last… anyone else tracking this?

Got a 2020 Sport 2.0T and still rolling on the original tires at 52k miles. Wondering if there’s a common range on how long they last. I’ve had them rotated once or twice a year since I got the car.

Got a 21 Touring 2.0T. At 31k miles now and my tread is down to 4/32. Pushing it until 3/32. I live in a pretty hilly area though, so that probably wears them down faster.

Yeah, I hear you. Mine are at 5/32 on three and 4/32 on one. Trying to hold out a bit longer… really don’t wanna drop over a grand on a new set just yet.

Check Facebook Marketplace. A lot of people sell their stock wheels with good tires for about the same price as just getting new tires.

Had a 2011 V6 Sedan EXL… got about 60k miles out of the factory tires.

Got a 2020 Sport 2.0T. My factory tires were terrible… had to replace them at 25k. Switched to CrossClimate 2s, and they’ve been way better.

Wow, only 25k? Did you replace all four with CrossClimate 2s? I need to start researching options for when mine are done.

@Tatum
Yeah, always best to replace all four at the same time instead of one by one.

@Tatum
Just a heads-up… if you go with CrossClimates, the car won’t feel the same when steering. I tried them but ended up switching to Michelin Pilot AS4s.

My car originally had Primacy MXM4s, but they started dry rotting badly by 42k miles.

Still on my factory Michelin Primacy tires at 30k miles. Probably good for another 10k or so.

Wow, I only got about 23k miles out of the stock Michelin tires. Wore out crazy fast. Switched to Coopers, and those lasted until 65k miles before I had to replace one. Just swapped them all again for Cooper Endeavors. Sold the car at 97k miles, and they still had plenty of tread left.

From what my service guy told me, the factory tires are softer and don’t hold up well.

What brand were your original tires? Mine came with Michelins, and I’m at 35k now. Looks like they’ll need to be replaced in about 10k miles.

Yeah, mine are all Michelin too .

Still running my original tires. Tread was perfect at my last oil change, which was only a few hundred miles ago. I’m at 17k miles. Guess it all depends on driving style.

Stock Michelins lasted me 60k miles before I swapped them out.

2018 model… original Michelin tires… 60k+ miles on them. Definitely time to swap, but ugh, not looking forward to it lol.

Got about 35k miles out of my factory tires on my 2018 Touring 2.0T.

I hit 78k miles on my original tires with good tread left. But I do mostly highway driving, so that probably helped.

Whoa, that’s crazy… super impressive .
