I drive a 2007 Civic DX, so I really hope you enjoy your Type R.
I’ve got a 2008 Honda Fit… that car is sick.
Take me for a ride… I’m ready to be the passenger princess.

My wife just got an HR-V, and I’ve been the passenger princess for the first time. Not bad at all.
Nice one. I got the 2025 Civic Hybrid last month, and it’s been great so far.
I just finished paying off my Si and my debts. Everything in me is telling me not to go for an R and start another payment… but man, I might do it.

I was in the same boat… debt-free. But I’m young and still live on my parents’ property, so I have extra cash. Planning to pay this off in two years.
That car looks amazing. I hope you’ve got a garage because I wouldn’t want anyone parking next to it.
You could open a taco stand under that wing… just kidding. The car looks incredible.
Take it easy during the break-in period, then let it rip.
The power and suspension make it so fun to drive.
Just be ready for that moment when you’re in third gear, pushing it on the highway, and realize you’re close to losing your license.
These cars are built for twisty roads. You’re gonna love it.

Back in the day, I had an S2000 and hit VTEC in 6th gear racing an M3. I won, but looking back, I know how stupid that was. I’m just grateful I didn’t cause a disaster.
If you’re gonna test the limits, do it somewhere safe. Find a long, empty road, check your tires, and make a slow pass first to look for any debris. Have fun, but don’t forget—physics doesn’t care how good your car is.

I can’t wait! Already at 290 miles and driving everywhere to get through the break-in period. Excited to feel the full power soon.

Make sure to let the engine warm up before pushing it. A couple of minutes can make a big difference in keeping it running well for years.
@Jory
Yeah, I always let it idle for five minutes on a cold start before driving.

You’ll get different opinions on this, but I personally just wait for the idle to drop and then drive gently. It helps warm up the oil and gets everything lubricated faster than idling. Plus, it warms up the transmission too, which is a nice bonus.
I wish I could get one of these… I’m driving two 2012 Honda Accords instead.
4 cylinders, 3 exhausts… because why not?
Welcome to the club. I take mine out every day.
Good choice. Thumbs up.
