Got my first car... any mod ideas?

Finally got my first car, a 2022 Accord Touring 2.0T. Thinking about doing some mods, but I want to keep the wheels and chrome. Any suggestions?

That’s an awesome first car… congrats.

Man, I thought I was doing good with the 1.5T Sport. It’s still a nice car, but I should’ve gone for the 2.0T. No regrets though, still love mine.

@Ira
The 2.0T is a blast to drive… I would’ve kept mine if it hadn’t been wrecked.

Yeah, I’m kinda torn between keeping my current car or upgrading once I pay it off. I love the way it drives, but I might look at something with more steering torque next time. Or maybe just drive this one till it’s done.

@Ira
You should definitely go for it… all the luxury features make it worth it, like the HUD and full leather.

I hear you, but I’m sticking with this one till the loan’s done. I’ve got some cool features too, like self-driving. The Touring doesn’t even have that.

@Ira
I still miss my 2018 2.0T, but the 11th gen I have now is great. The Touring Hybrid gets way better mileage and the infotainment is a nice upgrade.

@Ira
You mean ‘should’ve’.

Yeah, I know… woulda, shoulda, coulda.

Why didn’t you just get the 2.0T in the first place?

Needed a car fast, and the 1.5T was the best deal I could get at the time. Plus, I was mostly thinking about gas mileage since I was doing a lot of long trips. I figured it’d still be good since it’s a Honda… didn’t know about the head gasket issues back then. Just needed something affordable during the crazy car prices.

@Ira
Honestly, the 1.5T is only more popular because of the mileage. The head gasket problems are pretty common, though… probably better off with a hybrid if you’re just looking for economy.

Yeah, mileage and price were the main things on my mind. Nobody really knew about the head gasket issues when the 10th gen came out. I always thought Honda engines were solid. Guess I learned the hard way. It’s not just me, though… loads of people ended up with the 1.5T.

That’s a great choice for a first car.

I think so too… raced my friend’s stock Audi A4 and we were neck and neck.

Last month I rented a 2025 A4 S in Phoenix… that thing was quick, especially with AWD. Took off like a rocket.

@Cove
My friend’s is a 2017 S line… haven’t done a drag race, but he’s got Quattro and probably an edge in a straight line. But I’m about 400 pounds lighter, so it’s pretty even.

Honestly, your Accord and his A4 have pretty much the same power, so from a roll, it’s gonna be close. From a stop, his AWD might give him the jump. I’ve got a 2024 Elantra N-line, and I bet you’d leave me behind… mine’s about 6.5 seconds 0-60, but I’d still race you for fun.

@Cove
Haha, today we did some roll racing on the highway during lunch break at school. We were hyped since our numbers are pretty even. I’m thinking of loading a KTune soon… that should give me the edge.
