Got a 2007 HC 2.0s… what mods should I do?

Just picked up a 2007 HC 2.0s. Looking for ideas on what mods I could do to make it stand out or perform better. Any suggestions?

I’d start by upgrading the sound system. Makes a big difference!

Maybe throw on some tint or get a nice set of rims?

Wait, didn’t the 2.0 only come in the Si? At least in the US?

This car looks like it’s right-hand drive.

Oh wow, I didn’t even notice that!

Yeah, I’m in New Zealand.

The Si has the K20Z3 engine, but this one has the Z2, which is a lower compression economy version with VTEC only on the intake side.

Yep, it’s RHD.

This generation had two hatchback variants. The 3-door was available as a Type-R in Europe, and the sedan you’ve got was available as a Type-R in Japan.

Nice car, man. I’ve got a 2006 in Misty Violet. Also have a VTi in the same color as yours.

Unfortunately, while you’ve got a K20, it’s not really a performance-focused version. I’m planning to swap mine for a K24 soon.

The suspension is already better than the VTi/VTi-L versions, but you could go for coilovers if you want it lower.

I like the facelift front bumper more, so maybe consider swapping that in—it looks more aggressive.

Other than that, keep it maintained and enjoy. These cars are super reliable and fun to drive even if they’re not super quick.

You should get that crazy Swedish engine—it’s like 200x300x50 meters or something. Totally worth it, trust me.

Go all in with FD2 mods!

Rims and tires would be a great place to start.

How about a K&N air filter in the stock airbox, Valvoline Advanced 5W-30 oil, a transmission fluid change, new engine mounts, DOT 5.1 brake fluid, and stainless steel brake lines? Solid upgrades for performance and reliability.
