I’ve tried this with WS90 tires, and honestly, it felt like driving an AWD car. The front end just grips so well, pulling the back end like a jeep towing a sedan. In thick snow, the Honda Fit doesn’t struggle at all if you’ve got the right tires! Honestly, these drifts would have been way more difficult with average all-season tires.
Some of the best fun I’ve had driving in snow was in a Honda Fit with new tires.

Totally agree! The snowstorm we had on Jan 5-6 from Winter Storm Blair was one of the best driving experiences I’ve ever had. I was out there drifting around Fountain Square for hours, laughing the whole time .
My Fit somehow handles blizzards even with the same summer tires I took to the track last year .

Wow, 200tw tires? How does that work?

They’re 280tw Nitto Neogens. Great for summer, but honestly terrible in the snow.
Looks like you’re just enjoying yourself at this point!

It’s honestly the most fun I’ve had in my 700,000 miles of driving. Even though it’s just FWD with low power, this setup is incredible .
As an essential worker, my Fit has helped me through some crazy weather situations, like blizzards, hurricanes (including Sandy), and even tornadoes and earthquakes.
My GD3 did great with snow tires, even though they were the cheaper ones.
I had no problem driving through 7-8 inches of snow with cheap Walmart tires.
I got a used set of wheels with some Dunlop Wintermaxx tires. They aren’t the best but they’ve held up really well this winter, handling everything the weather’s thrown at them.
That’s awesome! What tires are you using? I’ve got Falken all-seasons on my 09 Sport.

I’m using WS90’s, 185/65/15, on Konig Heliums.
I’ve driven through snow deep enough to leave a path behind me. I have no idea how my bumper cover is still on!
Yep, tires really do make a huge difference.
I love doing this too.
I’ve got snow tires too. During the last blizzard, I was passing a lot of 4WD SUVs.
It really is all about the tires. It drives me crazy when people say a car is bad in snow but it’s usually just bad tires. I grew up in New England with only FWD cars and never got stuck.

Exactly! It’s so frustrating. Tires are the only thing touching the ground. Thanks for spreading the truth – a lot of people just don’t want to believe it because good tires are pricey. But crashing your car is way worse.
