Can't find this filter anywhere… anyone know where to look?

I’m struggling to find this filter anywhere. I’ve checked some places, but no luck so far. Anyone got ideas?

You might be looking for Part Number: 17220-PLC-000. It’s for a 2005 Honda Civic - covers DX, EX, EX Special Edition, GX, HX, LX, LX Special Edition, Si, and Value Package with 1.7L L4 (CNG/Gas) or 2.0L L4 (Gas).

@Blane
Thanks a lot! Any idea where I could actually buy it though?

Not sure where you are, but I found it on Amazon Canada.

I watched a video, but it looks different from mine. One side of mine is smaller than the other. Check out the video and compare it to my part.

I even used the ‘Amazon Fit’ thing with my plate, and it said it would work. AutoZone sold me one that looks the same, but it didn’t fit either. I’ll go back to AutoZone tomorrow and let you all know.

@Penn
Do you have a Japanese engine? Mine came with a rubber grommet and a plastic PCV valve instead of the screw-in ones from the store. Had to get mine on eBay. If yours doesn’t screw in, it could be a Japanese engine, and you might need to find the air filter online or at a junkyard.

Call the dealer and give them your VIN. They should be able to tell you the exact part you need.

That’s what AutoZone told me too. I’m just worried about how much it might cost and how long it could take to get it.

@Penn
Dealers usually have air filters in stock, or they’ll let you know when they expect them. Just give them a call.

Good point. I’ll check tomorrow since the dealer is literally across from where I work. Appreciate it!

@Penn
No problem, just make sure to take a pic of your VIN so they know exactly what you’re after.

@Penn
Why not just call them and ask?

Does your old filter have a part number on it?

Nope, nothing on it at all.

What’s the year and model of your car? Is it an LX or EX?

EX coupe manual.

I got mine from Walmart - it was a FRAM filter. Mine’s a 2002 EX coupe manual.

@Elwood
I work at Walmart, so I’ll check next time I’m there.

Did you mention the year earlier? I might have missed it.
